يدل العقرب في المنام غالباً على عدوٍّ نمّامٍ يؤذي بلسانه ويلدغ خفيةً من حيث لا يُحتسب، وقد يدل على غيبةٍ أو وشايةٍ تصيب الرائي. وتختلف الدلالة بحسب موقفه منه. وهي دلالاتٌ لا أحكامٌ قاطعة، والعلم عند الله.

حالات الرؤيا

• لسعة العقرب: أذًى من نمّامٍ أو غيبةٌ أو كلامٌ سيّئٌ يصيب الرائي بقدر الألم.
• قتل العقرب: التغلّبُ على نمّامٍ أو عدوٍّ خفيٍّ وكفُّ أذاه.
• عقربٌ في البيت أو الفراش: عدوٌّ قريبٌ أو من في البيت فيه أذًى خفيّ.
• عقاربُ كثيرة: أعداءٌ بألسنتهم أو جماعةٌ تسعى بالنميمة والوشاية.
• طردُ العقرب أو الحذر منه: التوقّي من شرٍّ خفيٍّ والحفظُ منه.

العقرب والثعبان

يقترب العقرب من الثعبان في دلالة العداوة، إلا أن العقرب أخصُّ بالنمّام الذي يؤذي بلسانه خفيةً، والثعبان أعمُّ في العدو القويّ. ويُستحب التحصّن بالأذكار وحُسن الظن بالله.

• Many scorpions: enemies with their tongues, or a group spreading slander and tale-bearing.
• Driving the scorpion away or being wary of it: guarding against a hidden evil and being protected from it.

The scorpion and the snake

A scorpion is close to a snake in signifying enmity, except the scorpion is more specific to a slanderer who harms with the tongue in secret, while the snake is more general as a strong enemy. Fortifying oneself with remembrance of God and good expectation of Him is recommended.
