يدل السفر في المنام على تحوّل الحال والانتقال من طورٍ إلى طور، وطلبِ الرزق أو العلم، والانتقالِ من شدةٍ إلى يُسر. وتختلف الدلالة بحسب يُسر السفر وتعثّره ووجهته. وهي دلالاتٌ لا أحكامٌ قاطعة، والعلم عند الله.

• السفر نحو نورٍ أو مكانٍ مقدّس: رفعةٌ روحيةٌ وصلاحُ مقصد.
• العودة من السفر: فرجٌ ولمُّ شملٍ وراحةٌ بعد غُربة.
• التجهّز للسفر دون مغادرة: قربُ منعطفٍ أو تحوّلٍ في الحياة لم يحِن بعد.
